What does it mean to look? What does it mean to be looked at? How do we build meaning? How do we escape from the meanings that inescapably build around us? Maybe we can’t. Way In seeks to create a refracted portrait of intimacy and objectification. There is always too much to say: mountains of references, bodies of knowledge, disparate traditions … dance as a way to hold all of these jostling interests and desires: All that the body can withstand, absorb. Meaning slips through our hands.
